Honest Work

It ain’t much but it’s honest work.

Realizing that your 5-year-old self is disappointed that you’re not an astronaut can become daunting, but given your lived experiences it becomes acceptable.

Life is full of twists and turns, for better or for worse, making it considerably harder to navigate through your path as you get older.

Unfortunately, with the help of media, we often downplay our achievements as they aren’t on par with what we expected. We grew up on shows like iCarly, Zoey 101, Victorious and many more that set unrealistic standards. In an attempt to live these glamorous lifestyles we have been ever so divided, working for the wrong reasons and fetishizing the individualistic lifestyle.

Life is only beautiful when you’re open to it. Don’t limit your happiness to material things; holding dearly to unnecessary lifestyles. This is not to say that we shouldn’t be working towards our goals, but rather to enjoy the present moment for what it is and keep going.

Be proud of your life, have ownership of your identity and work towards making your dreams a reality.

Put in the honest work, and through consistency, it will alway be just enough 🙂
